FITNESS

Personal Training is exactly that - personalised training designed to meet your own specific incidividual goals.  Working closely with your trainer, you receive bi-weekly feedback that measures your progress.

Group Training is a effective, highly motivating training session with 2 to 4 people participating.  Participants enjoy the comraderie of the group environment, work hard, encourage one another & achieve results.  Exercises are modified to suit each participants fitness level but sessions are not individually tailored.

1. What is the cost?

2. How fit do I need to be?

You can be any fitness level to participate and achieve results in either PT or GT.  As your fitness increases you will find yourself reaching new personal bests.
3. What is the difference between a mobile trainer and a gym based trainer?
There is no difference other than you get to train in the comfort of your own home or chosen outdoor venue.  Training equipment needed for each session is supplied by Don't Weight for Wellness and it is not uncommon that I will utilise what is already in your own environment thus empowering you to take control of your fitness.
4. What if I have a pre-existing injury or medical condition.  Can I still train?
Your safety is my number one priority.  As such all clients of Don't Weight for Wellness must register by completing the enrolment form which contains your health screen questionnaire.  In the event of a pre-existing injury or medical condition, medical clearance to participate in a fitness program may be required from your medical practitioner, or a letter from your treating specialist may be required outlining the nature of your injury so that I can work in conjunction with them to strengthen the area
.

BOOTCAMP
1. What is Bootcamp?  Is an outdoor group exercise class mixing calisthenic and body weight exercises with interval and strength training designed to push you harder than you'd push yourself.  Bootcamp courses get fast results and provide a supportive and motivational community of like-minded people.
2. Will I get an effective workout from Bootcamp? Yes. Serious results, seriously fast.  All course sessions suit every fitness level and there is a variety of programs such as Cardiovascular, Strength, Military and Boxing.
3. When and where are Bootcamp classes offered?  Courses are 1 hour high-intensity sessions and are held throughout the week and Saturday morning.  They are run outside and you can start at any time.  All campers are required to select their nominated class times for Boot Camp. If you sign up for a weekly session and can’t make it, we may be able to fit you in to another session that week depending on numbers. Simply call to check if there is room in the group.

Sessions are held at various locations around Mudgeerba.
Arrival Time: Your Bootcamp instructor will arrive on location 10 minutes before the official start of the workout. If it is your first workout you are expected to arrive 10 minutes early to sign the enrolment form you filled out online or if you haven’t already, fill it in and have a chat to the instructor about past training and injuries. This is also the time for any campers to discuss any questions, comments, or concerns with the on-site trainer before the start of the workout.
Warm-up:  Our focus is always on keeping our campers safe and healthy so each class begins with a comprehensive warm-up, emphasizing mobility and activation to best prevent unwanted injury.  This will also enable a more effective and satisfying session for you. Late arrivals will only be allowed to join the workout session provided they arrive during the warm-up which runs for 10 minutes.
Main session:  The core component of the session runs for approximately 40 minutes during which you will be encouraged to work to your maximum ability, pushing past personal preconceived limitations and achieving new personal bests.  Your instructor(s) will be placing a strong emphasis on correct form and technique which will ensure results.
Cool down:  Never neglect this important part of the session.  We have worked your body hard now we need to nurture it by ensuring we give our muscles a good stretch after the work has been done.  Duration is 10 minutes.
Departure Time: Your instructor(s) will remain for 5 to 10 minutes past the end of each workout to address any remaining personal questions or concerns.
4. How fit do I have to be to join in?
You can be completely unfit and you will rapidly improve. Many people start bootcamp who have not done any exercise for years. It’s hard at first but you will increase your strength and fitness very rapidly.  If you are already fit, you will be pushed harder with more advanced exercises and heavier weights alongside everyone else.  It is not unknown to have people of different fitness levels training alongside one another and both getting a solid workout.  People as young as 13* and as old as 65 have enjoyed the benefits of bootcamp so there is no excuse!
*Children under the age of 16 attending regular bootcamp must be accompanied by a parent or guardian otherwise it is recommended they attend one of our children specific bootcamps.
5. What’s the difference between Boot Camp and another group fitness class or going to the gym?
Every workout is different with a variety of equipment and exercises being used that you may not usually do/use. Equipment includes your bodyweight, dumbbells, kettlebells, skipping ropes, truck tyres, medicine balls, marine ropes and anything else we can get our hands on!
Don't Weight for Wellness workouts consist of full body workouts as well as cardiovascular fitness ,core strength exercises and Bootcamp Boxing.
There is NO waiting around for equipment, Don't Weight for Wellness has a strict numbers policy and cap our classes for maximum motivation and form so once the class is full it’s full. Unlike some Bootcamps who just use bodyweight exercises we offer a range of equipment and exercises.
6. Are there any breaks from Boot Camp, is there make up sessions and am I paying for them?
There will be Boot Camp on public holidays.  You may be able to shift your session to another one depending on availability. The more notice you can give the better we will be able to cater to your request.  We break for 2 weeks at Christmas.
7. Can I pause my course if I’m going on holidays?
Yes. Just let the trainer know that you will not be attending and when you will be coming back to ensure your place is held for you. If you miss 3 sessions without notice your place in the course is subject to cancelation.  If you are away for more than a month we may make exceptions at our discretion.
8.How much does the program cost?
Don't Weight for Wellness bootcamps are sold in course packs of 12 sessions.  This is to ensure a level of commitment from the people we train. Campers can choose if they do one or multiple sessions a week and must elect those sessions at the time of enrolment.  Course payment must be received before your training commences.  From time to time special courses will be available and details and costs of those will be announced in the lead up to the start date.  We do not offer casual classes although first time users are welcome to one free session so they can experience us before they commit.

Please make sure to wear clothing that is not too big.  We need to see your body move at different joint positions during the workout so we can best assess your form and technique and make the necessary corrections.  In addition, please wear shoes that are designated for athletic purposes. These are often referred to as running, cross-training, basketball, or tennis shoes. Some common brands are Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Brooks, Asics, etc. Please feel free to ask your trainer for her/his recommendations for proper footwear for boot camp workouts.
10. What happens if it’s raining do we train?
YES!!! Our motto is NO EXCUSES!  Rain hail or shine we train.  Your metabolism doesn't know it’s raining.  Your safety is our primary concern so exercise selection can change before or even during the workout however if conditions are unsafe (ie: torrential, storming, floods, etc) we will notify you of session cancelation and fit you into another session that week.
